The SZPILMAN AWARD

The SZPILMAN AWARD is awarded to works that exist only for a moment or a short period of time. The purpose of the award is to promote works whose forms consist of ephemeral situations. The SZPILMAN AWARD is awarded annually, and the prize winner receives the Jackpot Stipendium, a scholarship consisting of three parts: a challenge cup, 10 days of accommodation in Cimochowizna (Poland), and a sum of money in cash.

SZPILMAN is currently raising the prize money, and the winner will receive the money that is raised by Sun 30 Sep 2007. The current score may be checked here. One award winner will be identified from the applicants, and the challenge cup will be handed over to the next prize winner in the subsequent year.

The 2007 jury will be Bernd Euler, Dirk Fleischmann, Martin Flemming (prize winner 2006), Leonard Kahlcke, Patrick Koch, Tina Kohlmann, Friederike Schönhuth and Tina Schott.
