Rational Rec - Internships

Rational Rec, London’s monthly inter-art social occasion, is looking for two Interns to work on its new season of events, November 2007 – July 2008

The first event of Rational Rec’s new season takes place on Saturday 10th November at the Queen Elizabeth Hall foyer, subsequent monthly events take place at the Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club in East London.

Interns will provide front-of-house, technical and backstage assistance at events, and help with marketing and general admin between events.

We are looking for people with a keen eye for presentation and detail with good time management, lots of initiative, enthusiasm and a friendly, approachable manner, who can commit one day per month.

Experience of setting up audio-visual equipment at gigs or film screenings and interest/experience of contemporary arts (experimental music, sound art, visual arts, film, performance/live art, dance) desirable.

This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in arts events production and administration to work with an Arts Council England funded project and contribute to Rational Rec’s development.

This is a voluntary position but travel expenses are paid.
