Voice Your Concerns - Threats to Arts Funding

New Work Network (NWN) is lobbying on behalf of its members to assist in the campaign against cuts to arts funding.

Due to recent activity on the NWN website forum, and a membership request to utilise our online facilities to enable a wider discussion - NWN have created a dedicated forum space ‘VOICE YOUR CONCERNS: THREATS TO ARTS FUNDING’ to allow for further discussion and action and to allow members to have a voice in this urgent issue.

We would like to stress the importance of getting involved with this issue. If you are not already a member of NWN, we hope you will use the facilities that NWN offers to add to a ‘collective voice’ enabling you to lobby against any future arts funding threats.

The VOICE YOUR CONCERNS forum includes:

  1. Downloadable resources which provide information explaining how to lobby against these changes
  2. Minutes from the GFA cuts meeting that recently took place at Toynbee Studios, London
  3. Current information on the government update on the Comprehensive Spending Review.
  4. A dedicated space for you to ask questions, start discussions and add to a ‘collective voice’ in protest against these potential funding cuts.

NWN are also working with the ‘Independent Artists’ Grants for the Arts Campaign’, a dedicated campaign that has now been officially launched.
